B-BOVID FARMS: B-BOVID farms includes: Plantation, Nursery, Vegetable farm, Animal farm, Aquaculture, Bee farm, Eco-garden ‘Garden of Eden’ and B-BOVID mart.

  1. Plantation: The company has an oil palm plantation. The plantation is about 300 acres grown organically. Although the produce from the plantation are taken to the palm oil mill for processing, most of the palm fruit process are brought in by the farmers.

  2. Nursery: The nursery consists of oil palm seedling and rubber seedling. The organic nursery is about 30 acres both for the oil palm and rubber seedling. The company provides highly improved and organically grown seedlings for the rural farmers at an affordable price. The nursery has facilities such as excavated water pit to ensure adequate water supply, storage rooms and irrigation pumps.

  3. Vegetable farm: The company has an organic vegetable farm where all kinds of vegetables grown in Ghana are planted. Close to the vegetable farm are the large dams that provide clean water for irrigation. The vegetable farm is inter-planted with trees for eco-diversification. The vegetable farm uses the organically produce fertilizer by B-BOVID LIMITED to aids in increasing the water and nutrient retention, provides a porous medium for roots to grow and decrease the bulk density or penetration resistance of soils as well as controlling disease pathogens. The company provides the public with healthy organic vegetables good for human consumption.

  4. Animal farm: The company’s animal farm has different kind of animals which include; cattle, goat, sheep, pig, rabbit, grasscutter, duck, geese, chicken, pigeon, guinea fowl and turkey. These animals are feed with the organically produce animal feeds which provides fiber and energy to the animals especially ruminants. Alternative feed such as Oil Palm Front (OPF) are available in large quantity and has a continuous supply throughout the year. The animal farm will provide a clean and healthy meat for the public.

  5. Aquaculture: B-BOVID has four ponds; each pond is about 8m deep and 17m wide. Catfish (mud fish) and Tilapia are the two major fish in the pond. The fish are reared naturally that is they feed on the organism in the pond. Rain water is collected and channel to the pond thereby making water available all through the year. The fish will be sold to domestic and international market. Fingerlings will also be available for rural farmers.

  6. Bee farm: B-BOVID is establishing a bee farm. The bees will serve as a pollinator as well as produce honey. It will also serve as demonstration bee farm as alternative livelihood for the rural communities.

  7. Eco-Garden ‘Garden of Eden’: The eco-garden is an organic orchard farm where all kind of fruits grown in Ghana are planted. The garden has all the six types of citrus, the three types of mango, coconut, pawpaw, banana, pineapple, sugar-cane, avocado pear, plantain, cocoa, guava, etc.



B-BOVID farms and mart has over the years employed more than 60 youth and women in the community. It serves as demonstration farm for those that want to diversify agriculture especially for the rural communities.

B-BOVID farms give youth and farmers in rural communities to have firsthand experience on the importance of practicing sustainable and climate smart agriculture. Impacting this practical knowledge to the youth and farmers will create wealth, jobs, entices more youth into agriculture and improve the socio-economic wellbeing of the rural smallholder farmers.

B-BOVID farms practices biodiversity and organic farming, which ensures food security, high productivity, soil conservation and environmental protection.
